Voice of the Sheep

bleatings of an amateur reformational credobaptistic theologian

  • To the Shepherd

But we your people, the sheep of your pasture, will give thanks to you forever; from generation to generation we will recount your praise. - Ps. 79:13

WHY AM I DOING THIS?: As much as an amateur blogger and theologian can do this...I want to make you think. I want you to know what you believe and why you believe it. And I want you to believe what you do - not because Mommy and Daddy believed it - but because it is the truth as contained in the Scriptures. I pray that God will use this blog and the resources and links provided here to grow its readers (including me) in the grace and knowledge of Christ. I pray this knowledge will result in a life of obedience that flows - not from fear or a desire to gain God's favor - but from a gratitude of knowing the truth about Who your Creator is, and what your Creator has done for you.

RCC Sermons

Posted by Brian Thornton on June 20, 2007

This is more of an FYI post than anything else. For my own personal use, I have set up arcclogo site that contains podcast archives of sermons from Rockdale Community Church, where we are members. I know there are others who might like to access Butch’s sermons as well, so I thought I would let you know about it. Butch’s messages are expositional and full of passion. My preacher will never be accused of not having zeal for the truth!

If you have an iPod or MP3 player, you can also subscribe to receive these RCC sermons for upload to your portable device.

Again, Pam and I wanted to have the ability to access past sermons from RCC for our own personal benefit, and this was a very easy and affordable way to do it which also allows for others to have easy access to them as well. The site is really a blog/podcast, which also includes a neat feature that allows people to post comments under the different sermon posts. I have also considered posting my sermon notes each week along with the audio of the sermon.

So, if you want, please feel free to check out the podcast site HERE. Take some time to look around and let me know what you think (keep in mind that it is still in the works). My goal is to provide something that can be glorifying to God and edifying to the body , not only for RCC members, but also for those anywhere in the world (like RCC sponsored missionaries) who might want to listen to Butch exposit the word of God.

God bless you as you listen to the truth proclaimed at Rockdale Community Church.
