The Über Bible, According to Brian

Über – The ultimate, above all, the best, top, something that nothing is better than.

I think at last count I had in my possession something like forty-plus Bibles and well over a dozen different translations. The only problem I have is that no single one of them has everything that I would want in a Bible. So, I thought I would construct the perfect English translation of the Scriptures…my Über Bible.

Here is what my perfect Bible would contain:

• ESV/NASB Parallel version, with Greek interlinear NT
• Personal pronouns for deity capitalized as in the NASB
• Quotations from the OT in all caps like the NASB
• Hebrew/Greek key words referenced along with study resources
• Significant Greek words highlighted to show proper tenses
• Historical information scattered throughout (like the NIV Archaeological Study Bible)
• Commentary from the following:
  • Reformation Study Bible
  • Matthew Henry Complete Commentary
  • John Gill’s Commentary
  • John MacArthur Commentary (minus anything relating to eschatology)
• Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words
• Wide Margins
• 12pt. type
• Genuine Calfskin Leather
• Integrated ESV Max McLean Audio Bible activated by touching any verse on a page
• Water-proof, dog-proof, kid-proof
