How to Be Born Again (part III)
Posted by Brian Thornton on March 19, 2008
Okay, just in case some are still confused with respect to the concept of the new birth, I thought we’d use a visual. Here goes:
This is your heart at the fall of Adam…

This is your heart at birth…

This is your heart at the “age of accountability”…

This is your heart when God looked down through time and supposedly saw you choosing him…

This is your heart when you accepted Jesus into it…

This is your heart when you prayed the “salvation prayer” in Purpose-Driven Life…

This is your heart if your security rests in walking an aisle…

This is your heart when you repeated a prayer while every head was bowed and every eye was closed…

This is your heart every time you rededicate your life to Christ…

This is your heart if you consider Christ Savior, but not Lord…

This is your heart if you are relying on your Christian heritage to save you…

This is your heart if your security rests in your baptism…

This is your heart if you were saved by the preaching of Joel Osteen…

This is your heart if you have no desire to be with the saints…

This is your heart if you refuse to reconcile with a brother…

This is your heart if you think God doesn’t know the future perfectly…

This is your heart prior to God ripping it out and giving you one of flesh…

AND FINALLY -
This is your heart after being born again, but prior to repentance and faith…

Any questions?
