WHY AM I DOING THIS?: As much as an amateur blogger and theologian can do this...I want to make you think. I want you to know what you believe and why you believe it. And I want you to believe what you do - not because Mommy and Daddy believed it - but because it is the truth as contained in the Scriptures. I pray that God will use this blog and the resources and links provided here to grow its readers (including me) in the grace and knowledge of Christ. I pray this knowledge will result in a life of obedience that flows - not from fear or a desire to gain God's favor - but from a gratitude of knowing the truth about Who your Creator is, and what your Creator has done for you.

It CAN Be Done

Posted by Brian Thornton on July 7, 2008

Hi, my name is Brian and I’m a netaholic.

“Hi Brian!”

Thanks to a pretty severe storm with lots and lots of lightning yesterday, I went without internet service for almost a full twenty-four hours. A strike hit so close to our house while we were eating dinner that it made our phones ring!

But, after many attempts to diagnose my computer problem, and $75 later for a new cable modem thanks to my previous one getting zapped by the lightning, we are back in the game and up and running, and I have my fix for the day.

My nervous twitches from not having access to the WWW are almost gone.

So, regardless of how much you think you need the internet, you can actually survive a day without email and Google Reader and Drudge and Weather Underground…though I would never recommend a voluntary stoppage in service!
